Visiting South Walton for the Fourth of July? This holiday has always been among the most sought-after weeks of our Summer season with many activities planned across the 16 beach communities. If you are trying to find something to do and hoping to explore a community other than the one you are staying in, there are plenty of options!

Sandestin Beach and Golf Resort offers a morning golf cart parade starting at 9:00 a.m. along Baytowne Avenue ending at the Village of Baytowne Wharf. Once at Baytowne Wharf families can enjoy inflatable water slides, snacks, face painting, and more! Come back at 7:00 p.m. to join in the evening fun with live music, kids' crafts, face painting, and balloon sculpting. Fireworks will happen at 9:15 p.m.

Seaside plans an all-day extravaganza starting at 9:00 a.m. with a family-friendly Central Square Block Party featuring an Uncle Sam Stilt walker, balloon artists, face painters, caricaturists, a juggler, and two Second Lines. Fireworks are planned for 8:30 p.m.

Alys Beach will be hosting a concert starting at 6:00 p.m. at their outdoor amphitheater followed by fireworks at 9:00 p.m. Remember to bring your own chair or blanket to enjoy the concert and fireworks show.

HarborWalk Village in Destin is always a fun place to be for the holiday. See the boats coming in from a long day of fishing or grab a seat on one to view the fireworks from the water. Live music will begin at 7:00 p.m. with fireworks shooting off at 9:00 p.m. On-site parking costs $10.

Destin Commons is kicking off the celebrations early on Sunday, July 3rd, with their Smoke on the Coast BBQ and Fireworks Festival. This event starts at 5:00 with the opportunity to purchase $1 samples from area restaurants and BBQ groups and vote for your favorite benefiting local charities. Fireworks will happen at 9:30 p.m.
